Step 1: Get clear on why you want a gallery. Most artists approach galleries before deciding what they actually want from one. Save years of approaching the wrong galleries for the wrong reasons.
Step 2: Find the gallery that fits your work. The art world has 3 tiers (local, mid-tier, and top tier galleries). Once you know where you fit, finding the right gallery gets much easier. There is a gallery for every artist... But we'll also show you the type of gallery to avoid.
Step 3: Know what galleries are really looking for. Every gallerist looks for the same three specific things. Step 3 tells you exactly what they are, so you stop second-guessing.
Step 4: Get the gallery relationship right. Gallery relationships break down for one specific reason. Step 4 shows you how to avoid this and build the kind of partnership that leads to sales, shows and more.
